Varoujan Bastajian (1926-2008)

Suddenly, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday August 10, 2008 at North York General Hospital. Beloved husband of Keghouhi “Kay” for 38 years. Loving father of Tamar and Nazo. Cherished grandfather to Alique and Caline. Van will be missed and lovingly remembered by his family, extended family, many friends as well as those of the Armenian Community.
Van served as president 3 times for the Armenian Community Centre among other positions that he held. He was very instrumental in the building of the new Armenian Youth Centre and School. Van had a great passion for nature and fishing. Van was an accomplished trumpet player as well as many other instruments and loved music especially jazz. He was a man of all seasons.
